I’ve been working as a live sound engineer for over ten years, and have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world mixing sound for artists across the UK and beyond; from Canada to Russia, Dubai, Indonesia, to all around Europe and back. I have mixed sound for artists on world renowned stages such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and countless other major festival stages and top class venues.
I’ve been on tour with full orchestras, with large ensemble jazz outfits, with four piece indie bands and everything in between. I love the excitement of being on the road and the challenge of turning up at a new venue in the day and recreating a perfect show night after night.
From 2016 through to 2020, I was also working as the technical manager / head sound engineer at Omeara - a fantastic small venue in the heart of London which during my time there grew and evolved into a multi-faceted events space and cultural hub. It was a fantastic experience heading up a small team of skilled and dedicated freelance technicians and my experiences here made me further appreciate just how important it is to take pride in your work and effectively communicate with everyone you work alongside.
I am perfectly happy mixing the sound for 100 people in a tiny, sweaty club to 10,000 people in a large arena. The buzz I get from doing a great job and seeing the audience enjoy themselves is the same in every venue and this deeply satisfies me everywhere I go.
I aim to be exceptionally hard working and professional but equally approachable and to not take myself too seriously! I love working as part of a team, meeting new people and forming bonds of shared experience whilst on the road. I am equally passionate about live music as I am the art of facilitating a performance, whether that is perfect sound, attention to detail within tour management or expert stage craft and event production.
When I am not behind a sound desk, you can find me cycling unnecessarily long distances on two wheels, finding off the beaten track camping spots and constantly making a fresh pot of coffee.
